Saint Clair Marlborough Vineyard Half Marathon – A must do experience!

Who would want to complete a half marathon?

How about a half marathon where you are entertained by musicians along the way; where you get the option to enjoy gourmet food tastings, gelatos, and chocolate; where you receive an award winning bottle of Marlborough wine at the finish line; and where there are there are no tedious formal prize ceremonies at the end – just a big party!

All of this set amongst a stunning landscape which includes some of Marlborough’s most famous Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir vineyards and the backdrop of the Richmond Ranges. Each year since 2007, on the second Saturday of May each year, close to 3000 people from all over New Zealand travel to Marlborough for one of New Zealand’s most unique half marathon events – The Saint Clair Vineyard Half Marathon.

While the event is designed to be more relaxed and fun than a traditional half marathon, there are suitable categories for all levels including walkers, runners, and fast / competitive runners.

The half marathon starts and finishes at Saint Clair in Selmes Road just out of Blenheim. For competitors who don’t want to take their cars there is a bus service to and from central Blenheim.

If you have already entered in the 2014 event and need a rental car then we would advise you to book early. Rental Cars New Zealand has a rental car depot in Picton near the Interislander ferry terminal and also supplies rental vehicles at Blenheim Airport.
If you haven’t entered the race yet then unfortunately you will need to go on a wait list
