Vehicle Rental Insurance

Included in the price of your rental is standard car insurance.  The excess (also known as the deductible) on standard insurance is between NZ$2000.00 and NZ$3000.00 depending on the type of vehicle.  A higher insurance excess may apply to drivers under the age of 25.  Your insurance excess will be stated when you get a quote or make a booking online or through one of our agents. 

To reduce the insurance excess on your hire, we offer the option of Insurance Excess Reduction, which minimises your excess for a small additional fee per day of your rental.  The cost of the additional insurance and the amount of the reduced insurance excess depend on the type of vehicle you rent—the details will be shown when you get a quote or book online.  The option to purchase Insurance Excess Reduction is available when you book online, or you can contact one of our agents for more information.
